Canada is launching a dedicated Express Entry pathway for doctors with Canadian work experience to help address ongoing healthcare shortages. Announced by IRCC in December 2025, this new category will begin issuing ITAs in early 2026.
Eligible doctors must have 12 months of Canadian work experience, valid provincial medical licensing, and meet standard Express Entry requirements. Only three physician NOC codes are included: 31102, 31101, and 31100.
This targeted pathway offers doctors a streamlined route to Permanent Residence, additional provincial support, and faster work authorization during PR processing.
